Hello

Hi Everyone! My name is Molly Venus and I am a senior English Writing major at DePauw University. Here you'll find work I've written for classes and work I've had published. My most recent publication, a short story called "In the Weeds" was a part of the H.G. Wells Short Story competition and shortlisted for the Margaret and Reg Turnill prize of $1,000. The anthology, featuring other writers from around the world, is called "The Fool" and is available for purchase on Amazon. 

 

I enjoy writing in all genres but I find myself more drawn to fiction and creative non-fiction. My academic interests include women, gender, and sexuality studies and philosophy. I'm also a part of DePauw's student-run literary magazine A Midwestern Review. I have served as a an editor for the Non-Fiction section as well as a reviewer for the fiction and poetry sections. I am passionate about giving a voice to other writers through publication. I owe much of my success to my professors, peers, and other writers who have inspired me to submit my work!
